Artist's Description
The EA-6B Prowler from Grumman is now gone from the fleet having been replaced by the more modern (and economical) EA-18G Growler. In the same way that the EA-18G is based on the F/A-18 Hornet, the Prowler was based on the A-6 Intruder and since both jets shared similar outlines when viewed from the front, the Prowler carried the "Radiation Hazard" marking on the nose to differentiate it from the A-6.
About Jay Beckman
Welcome! I am an Arizona-based photographer with a passion for all things aviation (and the occasional other subject) Here you'll find all original, razor-sharp images that showcase the excitement and beauty of flight from the biplanes of the 1930s through the combat aircraft of World War II to today's modern military as well as civilian jets and light aircraft. I have also been a volunteer photographer for EAA at AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Canon EOS digital cameras and EF Lenses are my tools of choice. Post Processing is done in Adobe...
