Artist's Description
Despite being based on the iconic Boeing 707, the KC-135R Stratotanker continues to serve thanks to a laundry list of improvements, upgrades and replacement parts. This aircraft is from the 161st Air Refueling Wing based at Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix. Due to the high volume of commercial traffic at Sky Harbor, the 161st will often duck out to other airports to get their pattern and training work done as they're doing here at Yuma, AZ. The badge on the vertical fin celebrates 150 years of the Arizona National Guard.
